Delivery Area Surcharge
Delivery Area Surcharges (DAS) are applied to deliveries within specific ZIP codes considered to be outside a carrier’s standard delivery area. This may include rural locations or areas that are difficult to access, increasing the amount of time and fuel required for delivery.
DAS fees can fluctuate as carrier networks and operational costs evolve, and the list of ZIP codes subject to these fees is revised as often as every 30 days. OSM Worldwide will post the DAS ZIP code list as it is updated.
Fuel Surcharge
Fuel price fluctuations can significantly impact transportation costs, necessitating a variable fuel surcharge that adjusts in response to these changes. OSM Worldwide employs an index-based surcharge system, which is updated monthly. Adjustments are made on the first Monday of each month, ensuring that changes in fuel prices are accurately reflected on your invoice.

The surcharge will be based on the National U.S. Average On Highway Diesel Fuel Price as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) for the month that is two months prior to the adjustment, rounded to the nearest cent.
Fuel Surcharge Table – effective November 4, 2024
The fuel surcharge percentage for OSM Worldwide services is subject to monthly adjustment based on a rounded average of the national U.S. on-highway average price for a gallon of diesel fuel. Fuel surcharge percentages and associated trigger points are subject to change without notice. If fuel surcharge drops below 7.50% or rises above 14.50% the table above will be updated.
